On June 25, 2022, a grand festival of dance, accompanied by the orchestra “Everybody Dance!” was held in the Central Gorky Park in Minsk.
The large-scale open air – dance program for everyone was held on the anniversary birthday of Lidia Petrovna Kats-Lazareva – honored worker of culture of the Republic of Belarus, founder of ballroom choreography in our country, head of the dance group of the special prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus “Mara” and became a kind of presentation of the new republican public association “Belarusian Professional Dance League”.
Waltz, bachata and many other directions merged into a huge flash mob. The most active participants were offered prizes from the company “Altai Bouquet” and other surprises.
Dancing master-class from club “Mara” was a good reason for ordinary passers-by to get off the ground and move to the rhythm of the cha-cha, rumba, tango, waltz and twist, and many took advantage of this wonderful opportunity.
Lidia Katz-Lazareva, artistic director of the Mara Dance Club: “This is a great present from the Mara Dance Club to those who believe in great art: tango, quick-step, salsa, meringue and rock-n-roll and twist, love and dancing are for all ages. And we have a desire to dance to absolutely everyone and everything!
– Such events are held to promote the dance culture and recreation. In recent years, such flash mobs have become a tradition, which is readily supported by residents and visitors to the capital.
Organizers have prepared as well a rich concert program with demonstrative performances from the best groups of various dance styles: breaking, sports, ballroom, contemporary, popular dance.
