Do you recognize this spectacular beauty?
No? Then meet our compatriot – a Belarusian, who moved to the USA about 10 years ago, the owner of her own Pro-Am studio, the winner of the World Cup “Arthur Murray”, the author of the project “DanceU” in America – Anna Lukasheva.
In late December 2012, Anna together with her partner (Eugene Parkhimovich) flew to the USA and fell in love with this country – “the country of freedom and opportunity”. That same year they were invited as a couple to work at one of America’s largest and most famous franchise studios, “Arthur Murray” in Orlando, Florida.
“Arthur Murray” is the oldest franchise chain with more than 300 dance studios worldwide.
Anna and her partner began to get into the Pro-Am system and began teaching new and interesting American styles, “Rhythm” and “Smoothies.” They competed successfully in these disciplines themselves in 2015 – 2019 and won the 2019 Arthur Murray 9 – dance World Cup (a discipline involving 2 styles together).
The guys traveled around the country a lot with shows and coaching. In 2019 they decided to leave Arthur Murray and created the DanceU project, an online program for aspiring dancers, in 2020 they successfully sold the company to partners, and in 2021 they opened their Pro-Am dance studio E&A dance right after the pandemonium.
The studio’s slogan is: “We inspire positive changes in people’s lives through ballroom dancing.”
Anna was born in Minsk, in the intelligent family of her mother (Alla), a teacher, and her father, an engineer (Yuri). Daddy traveled a lot and brought impressions of the countries he visited, so Anna from childhood had a dream to travel, live and work in many countries.
– Anna began dancing at the Palace of Culture of “MAZ” at the age of 8, where at that time there was the club “Liudmila”;
– Since 2004, she continued her dancing formation in the club “Mara”, was the main member of the team “Mara-2”, participated in world and European championships as part of the team.
– After entering University for Sport, she became a member of the “Univers” team and in 2009 won the Belarusian Sportsmanship in “Formation”.
Remembering her childhood dream, in 2007 Anna went to the University in Lithuania, to the faculty of journalism. She combined 2 universities, daily team training and part-time coaching.
In 2010, she was invited to work in Asia on a cruise ship, gave up 2 universities and the team and left at the call of her dreams, but returned home the same year, realizing that work on cruise ships is not for her…
Anna’s motto in life is: “Be grateful for what you have, but never stop. Believe in your dreams and trust yourself.”
